Palmer’s Abutilon is a hardy native Californian shrub that will grow quickly to 3-5 feet tall and wide. Its bell-shaped orange flowers bloom every spring, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. It requires well-draining soil and sun to part shade. Coming from the desert, it needs summer heat but will tolerate some light water in the summer. It can also be grown in containers.
