QWEL Rainwater Training Program (English) – Santa Rosa, CA

Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper: Rainwater Training Program limited to professionals working in Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties. Rainwater is a valuable resource that when collected and stored, can be used as an alternative water source helping offset the demand on existing water systems, such as wells, and municipal water.  Water is a precious resource in California and rainwater catchment is one strategy that can help protect this resource.  The purpose of this training is to introduce landscape installers and other water system professionals to the basics of rainwater catchment system design and installation.  The list of topics covered in the QWEL Rainwater curriculum include: Introduction to Rainwater Catchment Codes, Permits, and Accreditations System Planning Fill System Water Storage Distribution Systems System Maintenance In order to receive a certificate of completion for the training, you must pass the exam with at least a 75% passing rate and participate in in-field instruction. Class presentations Wednesday January 8th, and Thursday, January 9th from 8:00 - 4:00  The exam will take place on Thursday, January 9th after presentations The hands-on installation and networking will take place on January 10th- 10:00 - 4:00. Location address will be disclosed at a later time.
