Town of Windsor + Daily Acts

At the end of February, one thirsty, monoculture turf lawn in Windsor was tucked away to compost underneath recycled cardboard, organic compost and arbor mulch; and so the canvas was prepped! Now, Daily Acts and the Town of Windsor are returning to the home of Windsor residents Josh and Alison to create a colorful, water-saving, habitat garden with the help of community members like you! Our hosts were chosen for a complete lawn-to-landscape transformation program through an application process in late 2022; this is the final step in the process.

For this installation we’ll be:

• Planting a variety of native and adaptive plants
• Installing water-efficient drip irrigation
• Learning about the plants, why they were selected, and what to expect from this garden in the future

Daily Acts will provide shovels, gloves and kneeling pads, but if you have any of these tools, we encourage you to bring your own. We’ll need a good deal of help to complete the work, but if physical labor isn’t a good option for you, we’d still love for you to attend, learn and connect with community!
