In-person in Windsor
Town of Windsor + Daily Acts
Water is Life, so don’t waste a drop!
Water is perhaps our most valuable, shared resource on Planet Earth, which is why, amidst worsening droughts and fire-risk conditions, it is becoming increasingly important to protect our watersheds. Learning how to conserve water through at-home solutions is a great way to combat the climate crisis. From constructing a beautiful rain garden that improves soil health to harvesting rainwater for a not-so-rainy day, there are many opportunities to get creative and resourceful when it comes to creating a water-resilient landscape that works with, not against, unpredictable weather conditions.
Join Daily Acts and the Town of Windsor to learn more about water conservation practices, rebates that can help offset costs, and ways in which you can envision what is possible for your home and lifestyle
During this tour we’ll take a look at low-water use landscapes, rainwater harvesting systems, and a laundry-to-landscape graywater system. We’ll also end the program at the Windsor Community Garden where we will observe a variety of habitat and food producing plants, low-water features, and facilitate a community nature journaling session!
