Beautiful and resilient, native plant communities also provide food and shelter to sustain wildlife. You’ll plant native plants to help restore the native plant community and wildlife that depend upon it. All tools, gloves, and materials supplied. Snacks, refreshments and additional support of Regional Parks’ volunteer programs generously provided by Sonoma County Parks Foundation: https://www.sonomacountyparksfoundation.org/. Registration required.
They recommend participants dress in layers, wear comfortable, closed toe hiking shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen. Most programs will happen rain or shine, but may be canceled during heavy rains, heavy smoke, or extreme temperatures. Ages 13 and under require a parent or guardian present. Ages 14–17 may participate independently with a signed permission slip (email to request permission slip). Please let them know ahead of time if you have accessibility needs so they can best support your experience. Parking fees are waived for volunteers.
