- Firewise landscaping recommendations for the 0–5′ (including new State Zone Zero regulations), 5–30′, and 30–100′ defensible space zones, with specific plant recommendations for each.
- Practical strategies for reconciling sometimes-conflicting guidelines, so you can achieve a landscape that’s beautiful, biodiverse, water-wise, energy-saving, and fire-safe all at once.
- A grounded understanding of what sustainability really means for a garden in California’s changing climate.
- Resources and next steps to help you move forward with your own firewise, sustainable landscape plan.
