- Pruning best-practices
- Winter pruning vs summer pruning (with an emphasis on summer cuts)
- How seasonal pruning benefits tree health and production
They’re pleased to be collaborating with Clare Riesman, local arborist and farm & garden educator to learn how to make summer pruning cuts on stone fruit (plums, apricots), pome fruits (apples, pears), figs, and pomegranates.
*Note*
- This program will include an outdoor presentation and demonstration of pruning basics
- They will be standing for the majority of the time, so please feel free to bring a stool if you would like seating
- Citrus will not be covered in this class as it is better suited for late winter/early spring pruning
