Eco-Friendly Garden Tour
The Eco-Friendly Garden Tour is a public outreach and education program that promotes sustainable landscaping practices by showcasing inspiring gardens throughout Sonoma and Marin counties. The Tour highlights Russian River-Friendly and Bay-Friendly landscaping best practices, and supports Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) certified professionals by featuring their personal or client’s gardens.
The 2019 tour will be held Saturday May 4th, 2019. The self-guided Eco-Friendly Garden Tour is free to attend, registration is required.
The California Native Plant Society – Milo Baker Chapter will be presenting California native gardens in Sonoma County and will be holding a native plant sale at the Laguna Environmental Center. For folks that would prefer a guided tour, our friends at Daily Acts are providing the Resilient Homes Tour. These gardens optimize precious resources to create bountiful landscapes that offer beauty, wildlife habitat, fire defense and fresh food. This free guided tour option also takes place on Saturday May 4th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Public Gardens & More
For the other 364 days we are pleased to provide you with a listing of inspiring public demonstration gardens that you can visit at any time of the year. For a virtual experience you can also visit the gardens that were featured on the tour in the past few years.
