2018 Eco-Friendly Garden Tour – May 5

The Eco-Friendly Garden Tour is a public outreach and education program that promotes sustainable landscaping practices by showcasing inspiring gardens throughout Sonoma County and North Marin. The Tour highlights Russian River-Friendly and Bay-Friendly landscaping best practices, and supports Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) certified professionals by featuring their personal or client’s gardens. The self-guided Eco-Friendly Garden Tour is free to attend but registration is required.

The 2018 Eco-Friendly Garden Tour will take place on Saturday May 5th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s tour features the new Sustainable Education Garden at Santa Rosa City Hall. Free parking will be available close to the amenities of down town and City of Santa Rosa staff will be providing irrigation controller programming workshops and tours of the garden! The California Native Plant Society (Milo Baker Chapter) will be presenting California native gardens in Santa Rosa and will be holding a native plant sale at the Laguna Environmental Center. We are also excited to announce that Marin Municipal Water District will be presenting a selection of gardens in the San Rafael area.

For folks that would prefer a guided tour, our friends at Daily Acts are providing the Resilient Homes & Hubs Tour in Petaluma & Windsor. This free guided tour option takes place on Saturday May 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Follow the link to register for either the Petaluma or Windsor tour.

Public Gardens & More

For the other 364 days we are pleased to provide you with a listing of inspiring public demonstration gardens that you can visit at any time of the year. For a virtual experience you can also visit the gardens that were featured on the tour in the past few years.
