The Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership is planning an informational event for winter of 2026/2027 about AB 1572 which will prohibit the use of potable (drinking) water to irrigate nonfunctional turf—lawns that serve no recreational or community purpose—at most commercial, industrial, and institutional (CII) properties, including common areas managed by homeowner associations (HOAs). This event will be focused on bringing together HOA and Commercial property managers to answer your questions about upcoming AB 1572 deadlines, and to encourage discussion and strategies about how to comply.
