The Pina Colada Garden

Partner: North Marin Water District

The Pina Colada Garden is a humble example of a staycation garden created on a budget over 200 years. Upcycle materials were used to create a framework for the various interconnected enclosed garden rooms. Plants from various regions across the world were chosen for the climate suitability though some admittedly push the boundaries of zonal denial.

Michelle has been a card-carrying member of the SF Bromeliad club for years and has a robust collection of bromeliads that happily comingle with cactus, succulents, natives and other peculiar horticultural oddities of questionable interest. Sculpture also plays a supporting role in this garden of quirkiness.
